Lockmiller Apartments is primarily a freshman only apartment community that provides double and triple occupancy bedrooms in an apartment setting. Lockmiller is also home to the freshman and upperclassmen students who are part of the University Honors program. Whether residents are part of UHON or not, they enjoy the convenient location of Lockmiller. Residents have easy access to the Fine Arts Center, the Guerry Center and the library. Traditionally, Lockmiller provides an environment for the academically oriented person. Many of the students are very active in campus organizations, programming, clubs, and extracurricular activities. The spacious living/dining areas allow ample space for entertaining friends or quiet study. A newly renovated laundry facility is available for students and requires no coins Lockmiller is an exciting place to live during events such as fraternity and sorority rush week, the annual Oak Street Roast and various volleyball tournaments that take place on the sand volleyball court. The Lockmiller staff provides opportunities for residents to enhance their college experience by offering programs throughout the year. Some popular programs have included white water rafting trips, organized outings, area museums with a follow up at nearby coffee houses, and many other enriching and exciting activities. Lockmiller provides residents with the amenities similar to home and also the opportunity to become an involved and successful college student. A traditional event worthy of mention is the annual Scholars in Residence program. This program was developed by a Resident Assistant in Lockmiller, who wanted to honor residents that achieved academic excellence by making the Dean's List. Apartment Amenities
